MORE TENNIS | MORE COMMUNITY | MORE ENGAGEMENT

Greetings Black Tennis Connect Family,

We want to start by taking the time to thank our tennis family for another successful tennis year in 2022. We accomplished many amazing things together, and we want to highlight a few for you.

As we embark on a new year, we want to remain intentional about our areas of impact and make sure we strive toward our organization's mission. We have identified three main areas of focus for 2023.

ENGAGEMENT

  • This year we plan to host more events to help our members grow as individual players regardless of rank. We will be incorporating more clinics, camps, and private lessons that will support you in becoming the player you want to be.

  • Our members are the most valuable asset not only to our organization but to the black tennis community as well. We intend to cultivate more social opportunities to strengthen this community on and off the court.

COMMUNITY

  • Impacting our community is vital to Black Tennis Connect, and we want to make sure we support underserved communities by using tennis as a tool to change lives. We did a fantastic job starting last year by creating "The Open Opportunity" and "Getting Our Adolescents into Tennis (G.O.A.T.)" Initiatives, and we want to do much more for 2023! So, let's shift our focus and spread the tennis love to families with young children that can benefit from tennis the most.

EXPANSION

  • Expanding our presents has always been a goal for us, and we are officially a step closer with us recently expanding to Indianapolis as well! You read that correctly! We are expanding our reach to the Midwest. Both organizations will now operate under one umbrella referred to as Black Tennis Connect. Together we hope to accomplish great things and provide exciting new tennis activities and initiatives.

  • Establishing a Donor Network will allow us to bridge all three areas together and have a strong presence in Charlotte. So we will be working with local organizations and businesses to drive this initiative.

We recognize that none of these achievements would have been possible without our fantastic tennis tribe. As we continue our journey, be on the lookout for our Black History Month events and weekly tennis meetups as temperatures increase. If you have feedback or suggestions on what you want to see for our tennis club, fill out our suggestion form. We would love to hear from our tribe. Tennis for Us
