Welcome to

INDY BLACK TENNIS CLUB

When Black Tennis Connect made the decision to expand its reach to the Midwest, The Circle City was deemed a prime location to bring tennis to our target audience. The city is full of rich tennis history waiting to be unearthed. Did you know Douglass Park was opened and designated solely for African Americans because they were not allowed to attend other parks? Douglass Park was also home to the 14th ATA Nationals tournament in the 1930s and the birthplace of Edgar G. Brown who was described as the "Father of Topspin."

It is this history that inspires Black Tennis Connect to create a more inclusive future for the sport. As we start our journey here in Indy please join us as we use tennis as a tool to help change lives and support our communities.
